- Boss walks in and youre not working on that report
- Mom enters your room without knocking again
- Teacher is lurking behind when you should be studying

Press Boss Key to hide whats on your screen to stop prying eyes. Its a simple but powerful way to protect your privacy.

NOTE: Boss Key does not hide apps that are in "full-screen" mode.

== How Boss Key Works ==

Boss Key lives in the menu bar at the top-right corner of your Mac. It waits there in the background for your command.

The first time you open Boss Key, you should configure its settings to best suit your needs: create a keyboard shortcut, choose the privacy actions you want taken when activated, and select a safe app.

When activated, Boss Key will take the actions you chose, for example: hide all apps, mute the volume, and open a safe app to avoid suspicion. This all happens in a split second.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

› How is this different to using the "Hide" app option?
The "Hide" app option was not designed as a privacy tool and is unreliable for this purpose. There are times when it does not work: when all other apps are hidden or when the app is visible but not focused. Boss Key does everything reliably with a single keystroke: clear screen, mute volume, open safe app.

› Does it work with multiple monitors?
Yes, Boss Key will hide app windows across multiple screens.

› What is full-screen mode?
Full-screen mode is when an app fills the entire screen, including the menu bar and dock. This is common when playing games or watching videos. You can exit full-screen mode without exiting these apps, so make sure you do so if you want Boss Key to hide these apps.
